It needs a prune I think

Gee they badly need cutting back but I'm banned from pruning the bushes.  

Two reasons..

Paula describes my pruning as 'denuding the landscape.'

Oh and I use an electric pruning thingo and I managed to cut through the electrical lead a couple of times this year.  OK it was three times.
